Article 2 - Applicability

Our general terms and conditions apply to every offer from us as Coconne Interior to you as a Customer , both private (B2C) and business (B2B).

To place an order, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, we ask that you have your parent or legal guardian place the order. If we discover that an order has been placed by a minor, we reserve the right to refuse it.

Placing an order on the website constitutes express acceptance of our general terms and conditions, which are always available on the website.

Coconne Interior may amend these terms and conditions at any time. Previously placed orders will always be subject to the terms and conditions applicable at the time the sale was concluded. Any order placed after the amendment constitutes acceptance by the customer of the new terms and conditions.

Article 3 - Your order

The Customer expressly acknowledges that placing an order constitutes a payment obligation.

Once payment has been made (see Article 6), the Customer will receive an email from Coconne Interior confirming receipt of the order and providing a summary. This message will be sent to the email address provided by the Customer.

Coconne Interior cannot be held liable for an incorrect product description, nor if a product proves to be unavailable upon delivery and any resulting damage.

Coconne Interior strives to describe its products as clearly and accurately as possible. Any images/photos (except in error) provide a true representation of the goods offered.

It is inherent to a product made with natural ingredients that variations in color or small differences in size may occur. Cracks and discoloration are also inherent to the product and can never give rise to any valid complaint. Therefore, the delivered products may differ in color, shape, dimensions, candle burning time, number of wicks , etc. from what is described on the website. Naturally, we strive to match what we state on our website as closely as possible.

The distance contract is final once the payment transaction has been successfully received by Coconnone Interior. For payment transactions made by credit or debit card, Coconnone Interior cannot be held responsible for delivery delays or non-delivery of the order if your card issuer refuses to authorize payment.

A separate order agreement applies to personalized or custom-made products (such as laser engraved products or specially designed candles for B2B customers). These orders will only be put into production after a 30% deposit of the total invoice amount has been received. The remaining 70% will be invoiced upon delivery. Personalized orders cannot be canceled or modified after confirmation and payment of the deposit.

Article 4 - Right of withdrawal

If you purchase goods or services from us, you have fourteen (14) days from delivery to decide you no longer wish to keep the goods. You can then return your order without penalty and without giving any reason, after which the agreement will be terminated.

The returned products will be refunded by transfer to the bank account debited to place the order within a period of fourteen (14) days from the date on which Coconne Interior is informed of the Customer's decision to cancel the order, in accordance with the aforementioned provisions.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

During this cooling-off period, we expect you to handle your order and packaging with care. If you still wish to return the goods as described above, you may only unpack or use them to the extent necessary to assess whether you wish to keep them. If you return the goods, please do so, if possible, in their original packaging, with all accessories supplied, and in their original condition and packaging, following our instructions below.

After exercising your right of withdrawal, you are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. The basic principle here is that you may only handle and inspect the product as you would in a physical store.

You can return your package by post or courier, addressed to the registered office address of Coconne Interior.

To exercise your right of withdrawal quickly and correctly, both for the delivery of services and the delivery of goods, you can use the European Model Withdrawal Form and send it to hello@coconneinterior.com or Meidoornlaan 32B, 9120 Beveren, Belgium. We will send you an email confirming receipt of your withdrawal.

The Customer shall bear the risk and costs associated with returning Products.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized products or products clearly made for a specific customer. This includes, but is not limited to, candles with laser engraving, logos, or specific corporate identity details. Such products will not be returned or refunded unless there is a manufacturing defect or damage upon delivery.

Article 5 - The price

The prices of the Products are displayed on the Website in euros (€) for deliveries in Europe (European Economic Community) and include all taxes.

Prices are per item, unless otherwise stated.

Coconne Interior reserves the right to change the prices displayed on the Website at any time, without prior notice. The prices applicable to the Customer's order are those displayed on the Website at the time the Customer placed the order.

Article 6 - Payment

Amounts owed by the Customer must be paid immediately upon ordering. If payment is not received, the products will not be shipped.

For online orders, we only accept payment via the payment methods listed on our website. These payment methods include Bancontact, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, and iDeal.

No bank details are stored on the server, and Coconne Interior does not have access to the Customer's bank details. Payments are processed through Shopify, which guarantees an enhanced level of security for transactions through the Website.

For business customers (B2B), a deposit policy applies. For personalized or custom orders, a 30% deposit is required prior to production. The remaining 70% will be invoiced upon or shortly before delivery. Orders will only be processed after receipt of the deposit. If payment is not received, Coconne Interior may suspend or cancel delivery.

Article 7 - Conformity and warranty

All Products sold through the Website www.coconneinterior.com are subject to the legal warranty and the warranty against hidden defects as provided for in the Belgian Civil Code.

To be able to invoke these guarantees, the Customer must have proof of payment issued by Coconne Interior. In the event of a defect, the Customer must notify Coconne Interior as soon as possible and in any case within fourteen (14) days of discovering the defect.

The statutory warranty does not apply to defects resulting from accidents, negligence, improper use, failure to follow the instructions for use or in the event of changes or modifications to the Products or any other incorrect use by the Customer.

Our products are handcrafted using natural materials. Therefore, color variations, slight variations in shape, size, or texture, air bubbles, lines, or cracks are inherent to the production process. The number of wicks and the stated burn time may also vary from piece to piece. These characteristics are not defects and do not entitle you to an exchange or refund.

Article 8 - Delivery and execution

The ordered goods will be delivered to the address specified by the Customer when ordering.

We only deliver to Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, and Germany. If you provide a delivery address outside of this country, we may refuse your order.

If the Customer exceptionally receives a Product from Coconne Interior that does not correspond to the order, the Customer must contact Coconne Interior as soon as possible at hello@coconneinterior.com and in any case within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the order. For this purpose, reference can be made to the cancellation procedure as described in Article 4. In that case, Coconne Interior will verify the non-conformity of the delivery and inform the Customer of the return procedure, which will be carried out at Coconne Interior's expense, if applicable.

We cannot be held liable for any consequential damages due to late delivery or non-delivery by the carrier appointed by the company. In such cases, our liability is limited to the value of the items that are proven not to have been received by the customer.

Article 9 - Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure, we are not obligated to fulfill our obligations. We then have the option to suspend our obligations for the duration of the force majeure situation or to terminate the agreement permanently.

Force majeure refers to circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from fulfilling our obligations, either in full or in part. This includes, but is not limited to, strikes, fire, business interruptions, power outages, disruptions to (telecommunications) networks or connections, communication systems, and/or the temporary unavailability of our website, as well as non-delivery or late deliveries by suppliers or other parties involved.

Article 10 – Liability

Coconne Interior takes the utmost care in the production of its products and strives for the highest quality. Products are delivered as described on the website or in other communication channels. However, Coconne is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect or improper use of the products by the customer or third parties.

Coconne Interior is not liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the products, including, but not limited to, physical damage to property, injury, or other forms of damage, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of Coconne Interior.

The customer is responsible for the proper use, maintenance, and storage of the products. This includes complying with all instructions and warnings provided by Coconne Interior regarding the product. Coconne Interior cannot be held liable for damage resulting from failure to comply with these instructions or warnings.

In the event that Coconne Interior is held liable, despite the above exclusions, Coconne Interior's liability will in all cases be limited to the purchase price of the product in question.

B2B customers may not resell or resell personalized Coconnone Interior products unless this has been agreed upon in writing with Coconnone Interior in advance. Our personalized candles are intended solely as promotional gifts, decorative items, or branding tools for personal use or as gifts to third parties. Coconnone Interior reserves the right to take legal action in the event of a violation of this provision.

Article 11 - Intellectual property

All content on this website and its associated webshop, including (but not limited to): brand and product names, texts, photos, names, images, videos, and generally all our communications, are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to Coconne Interior or other third parties who hold the rights.

It is prohibited to use and/or modify the intellectual property rights as described in this article. For example, you may not copy or reproduce drawings, photos, names, texts, logos, color combinations, etc., without our prior and express written permission.

Article 12 - Complaints procedure and disputes

We naturally always hope that all our customers are 100% satisfied. If you do have any complaints about our products, please contact us at hello@coconneinterior.com. We will do our utmost to handle your complaint within 3 business days.

All agreements we conclude with our customers, regardless of their place of residence, are governed exclusively by Belgian law, and in the event of disputes, only the competent Belgian courts have jurisdiction. If, for reasons of international law, a different law applies, the interpretation of these general terms and conditions will be based primarily on Book VI of the Belgian Code of Economic Law.

Article 13 – Privacy

Coconne Interior processes the Customer's personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and its privacy policy. The privacy statement and disclaimer provided on the website form part of the agreement, and by placing an order, the Customer expressly agrees to this privacy statement and disclaimer.

Article 14 – B2B Specific Conditions

  1. Quotes are non-binding and valid for 30 days. Orders are only binding after written confirmation and payment of the deposit.
  2. Delivery times are indicative. Delays do not entitle you to compensation.
  3. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of submitted logos or files. Approval of a proof serves as final confirmation.
  4. In case of visible defects, the customer must respond in writing within 5 business days of delivery. After that, the delivery is considered accepted.
  5. Coconne Interior retains ownership of the products until full payment has been made.
  6. Personalized products cannot be returned or changed.
  7. Resale of personalized candles is prohibited without written permission.
