Our Product

We produce candles of exceptional quality. Our pots and candles are carefully handmade one by one from sustainable materials, guaranteeing a long lifespan.

The making of

Our candles are made with love for nature and passion for interior. And patience. It takes several weeks to produce a Coconne candle from start to end. Take a look behind the scenes of our production process.

Concrete

Hubbie Philippe pulls the strings at the concrete bucket. We only add water, sand, cement and pigment to our mix.

Pot

The pots are carefully cast into their molds.

Sanding

After they are removed from their molds, the pots are carefully sanded one by one to remove any defects.

Treatment

The pots are treated so that they are protected against damage.

Cork

We attach a layer of cork to the bottom so that the pot does not damage the surface underneath.

Candle

We choose the best possible wick for each candle. We test for burning time, flame size and soot. The fragrance oil and wax are carefully mixed and poured into the jar.

Ready To Shine

The candle comes packaged in our sustainable cardboard box. Ready to come your way and light up your interior!

Natural & Local Ingredients

Our commitment to using natural and locally sourced ingredients allows us to deliver the highest quality products and reduce our carbon footprint.

  • Wax

We use plant based rapeseed and coconut wax. You might recognize the yellow flowers from the rapeseedplant along the Belgian & German roads as rapeseed is cultivated on fields that need rest.

  • Wick

Our wicks are made of pure cotton and paper. As we use the high quality and natural wicks, we can ensure a clean and consistent burning process.

  • Scented Oil

Our fragrances are precision selected to ensure a delicate balance that enhances your environment without overpowering it, whether you prefer floral, citrus or woody notes.

  • Cork

Cork is harvested from the outer bark of cork oak trees, and the process of peeling the bark is actually beneficial for the tree. It's like giving the tree a haircut - it allows the tree to continue growing and producing more cork in the future. Appreciate the natural and renewable origins of this eco-friendly material at the bottom of our candles.

  • Packaging

Our simple cardboard box is a symbol of sustainability. We do not use fancy packaging, this cardboard box stands as a testament to mindful choices and the beauty of simplicity. Just like our jars and candles, our packaging is handmade in East Flanders and is also designed to be re-used .

  • Secret Ingredient

We add two secret ingredients to each of our candles: love for our planet and passion for interiors. We strive to have a positive impact on both your interior and the environment!

Re-use

Our candles are carefully designed and tested to leave minimal soot and residue. This makes reusing the jar easy, as all you have to do is let the candle burn down.

  • Any residue that may still remain can be easily removed by pouring some hot water (about 80 degrees) into the pot.

  • Let the water stand for a few minutes and then remove the remains in a gentle and simple way, possibly with a sponge.

  • Dry well and place a nice plant or herb in your pot. Look here for some inspiration. Enjoy!
